This post is sponsored by Stanley Martin Homes At Embrey Mill but all opinions are my own.

We got APPROVED! Just kidding, but it’s nice to practice right? Have you ever had this amazing dream and you woke up and couldn’t believe it was real. Like REALLY real? That’s how I felt after Stanley Martin Homes invited us to view the beautiful Durham at Embrey Mill. Embrey Mill is a new home community just off I-95 in North Stafford, Virginia. It is a state-of-the-art community with tons of amenities including Embrey House which includes the Welcome Center, Grounds Bistro & café with wine for the parents who like to unwind from the work day, the pool for families and a fitness center. Embrey also has seven distinct parks, which is unheard of, a racetrack park for tricycles and scooters and 10 miles of paths and wooded trails.

The Durham

Once you enter the home you’re greeted by the openness of a powder room, study, and grand family room. Not to mention the beautiful island with an attached sink. As you can see my girls couldn’t wait to run to the fridge (their favorite place in the house :). The kitchen also has a mudroom and another study next to the pantry, which is perfect for a family of four who has thousands of shoes that clutter the main foyer. The Durham more than exceeded our expectations. It has easily become my first choice when we decide to purchase a home in the future. I could envision my little family enjoying every inch of the 3,648 sq ft. home.

I’m an avid HGTV House Hunters watcher and I always wanted a screened-in porch (checks that off the list of must-haves).

The Family Room

This is real life at the #FaltzMcQueens home. I enjoy being in my office, but sometimes I like to bring my laptop and enjoy the girls in our living room. When daddy is at work, I have to juggle a lot of tasks, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. With amazingly large windows, this grand family room had so much beautiful lighting. The gourmet kitchen is open and inviting, which is something very important to me. I love to see my family while I cook and clean instead of being blocked off by a wall. I couldn’t believe the model home had an optional screened porch as well. I’m an avid HGTV House Hunters watcher and I always wanted a screened-in porch (checks that off the list of must-haves).

Other Favorite Rooms

The master bedroom had an AMAZING bathroom. The closet was also located in the master bathroom. Let’s just say I would have a ball filling it up with a tiny spot left for hubby. Ladies, you agree, right? The laundry was also on the second floor. Can we say MAJOR check off the list of must-haves? I’ve previously lived in a townhouse with different floor laundry and it was extremely hard and inconvenient. Can you imagine throwing your clothes down a flight of steps? No? Good, because you will not have to do that here. The rooms are extremely spacious as well. We viewed three other bedrooms and a nice size bathroom for the girls. The second floor also had an upper-level flex space. They created a mini tent with pillows. We have options on every floor, Hallelujah!

Also, the model home had an optional finished loft floor. This would be an amazing floor for children when they're older or a cinema room for the whole family. I had to get a quick foot rub while envisioning my possible media room (lol). Lastly, we quickly went down to the basement. I love basements for numerous reasons, but this basement had all the bells and whistles. You have so many options to choose from.

I am so thankful Stanley Martin Homes invited us to tour their model home. We always see the must-haves on TV, but to see everything we picture in our minds come to life is beautiful. I can't wait to go back and see their new Embrey Mill Town Center being built as we speak.

Whether you’re in the DMV area or looking to relocate to Virginia, Embrey Mill is the place to go. They will undoubtedly take care of you and build your dream home.

Thank you, Embrey Mill and Stanley Martin Homes.
